Hi, richard,
as you've probably know the screws on the tape board alter the sensitivity to 400mv which they reckon is ok for cd, 4 resistors are changed, don't know if they are for the same reason...

Hi richard, when looking round the net people seem to disagree with Quads order of preference citing the Tape as first choice.
I think it's because it uses less circuitry and doesn't attenuate and...

24 hours in and the cosmetics are done.
I know it's sacrillage but it won't be a quad inside anymore and it matches the other gear and is more girlfriend friendly:D

Hi,
my quad 33 pre has arrived.
After a bit of fiddling I managed to get it working on both chanels, radio2 only seems to work on 1. Radio 1 is fine.

Could any 33 owners please comment about...

Replaced all transistors and obvious caps, but the channel blew a supply cap.
