Re: Tweaking Sextets.

Stranded cable pisses in the face of accepted work done by Oliver Heaviside in the late 19th century but of course this means nothing to those trapped in the past. His work has never been questioned...

Re: Sme

Greg,
you can say that about an awful lot of audio products. The number of hugely expensive i/connects/power cables which you are expected to buy knowing nothing about the materials and construction...

Re: Tweaking Sextets.

Someone called Damian joined the forum to ask a question about the Mk4 version of the x/over - I hadn't lost it just misplaced it.

This schematic was posted originally by 'Lord' in 2006:

Re: Tweaking Sextets.

I was hoping to use the existing plastic 'plate' that Heybrook used for the passive x/over and speaker cable posts but then I really looked at the build and was amazed how badly it was done.

Many...

Re: Tweaking Sextets.

Finally the weather here, northern Tarn cooled and found the time to work on the Sextet x/overs but Sod's Law turned up.

I only opened up and removed one x/over rationally thinking that the second...

Used to love his totally irreverent humour. Saw a...

Re: The Puffin DSP phono/preamp

Richard,
forgot to answer the question about o/put - apparently Shannon has had a good few people asking about a digital o/put. He's putting together a mod that can be used to achieve this end....

I have a Pre 2 set that I only used for around 2 years. Greg made a cathode follower kit which I didn't fit. It has plenty of AN tant resistors and upgraded caps and a Seiden switch.PM me if...

I didn't realise you were fluent in Spanish or did you just google to criticise my Spanish if so it represents monumental hypocrisy.

Greg,
VantheMan has alerted me to the correct castillano but in my 9 years living in Spain I never heard anyone (Spanish) use the correct castillano. I learned to speak Spanish 'as it's spoken by...

Re: Crossover components rolling ?

Greg,

the LED mod is really simple, desolder the resistors and replace with the LEDs. I do hope the DV turns up. You will not regret my suggestion to not take out the PCB, just make sure all the...
