Re: Valve Life

Depends on two things Mel, how often the amp is used and how loud you use it, you only need to bother about the power valve's, the small signal valve's may last a life time or more, but if you plan...

Re: WD25A (EX) Cabinets - new in Ebony finish

A bit off topic Peter, but in your clear out did you come across a PSU III, I took it over to Chris because of a problem and when I returned Chris had gone and no one was home, I tried twice more,...

Re: WD MCT SUT question

Looking at your assembly, I would remove the two brown wires connecting the 0 volts to ground on the input, the inputs to the SUT should ( in my opinion ) be floating and not have any connection to...

Re: WD MCT SUT question

Re: Headphone Amps and choices

If it sounds good, why not leave it alone and listen to it for some time, by diving in to it immediately, you will never know if the mods you have been told about are successful, and may be you will...

Re: WD Pre III CF

Looking into this a little further, I do think you will need to mod the PSU II as 100 volts is not correct, the Pre III CF is made to work with the Pre III which gives 250 volts, so a bit of resistor...

Re: WD Pre III CF

Does the CF not need 200-250 volts ?, I know the Pre II used 100 volts and was regulated by a Zener diode, my CF runs at 250 volts, regulated. Bob
