I have listened to ESL 57,s in stock and One Thing Audio revamp, and the HF in both cases were fabulous, I think you would be better to consider an upgrade by One Thing Audio, fitting a moving coil...

Hi John, there are many different grades of SS, if you are interested, you can Google SS grades, I use 303 for most nuts and bolts, 304 for wheel spindle's and 316 for heavy duty nuts and other...

Hi Phil, they are DP, but you only need one X class capacitor, I fitted mine between live and neutral on the out going side of the switch. BOB

Have you looked on EBAY ?, you may find something there, or even a transformer with half the HT voltage you want, and use a voltage doubler. BOB
