Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I just wanted to say that I still have a good amount of foam left :)

Need foam? PM saschagabor!

I can still supply foam and I've just answered your PM. Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't get an email saying that this thread had been updated. Luckily VantheMan sent you in the right...

Re: WD25x with Exotic T35

I can now confirm that the SEAS A26 uses only two components in the crossover; 3,3 uF and 10 Ohm in series with the tweeter.

Re: WD25x with Exotic T35

While I would have preferred that they used the AlNiCo version in this construction, I see a couple of pros with it being a new design. (Albeit in the works for some time, as a 35 mm Excel tweeter...

Re: WD25x with Exotic T35

This is fantastic news!

Also, a big thanks to Mr. Comeau for his reply in this post, it's much appreciated.

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I've been sporadically posting up ads for foam in the 'for sale' section, but since they get purged regularly (which is mostly a good thing) I just wanted to say that I still can offer foam for those...

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I believe it's time for an update.

It proved difficult to procure a smaller amount of 12 mm thick 80 PPI reticulated foam for a decent price, so I ended up ordering quite a lot.

This means that...

Re: WD25A as a "35A"?

Thank you for your reply Charles.

I'm thinking about building a pair of cabinets based on A35, but with the volume from WD25t (as I'm using A26RE4).

However, what I'm not quite happy with is...

Re: WD25x with Exotic T35

I had a short chat with Greg about his post, and he pointed out that my intentions regarding building two cabinet pairs was unclear. I thought I'd straighten out any misunderstandings for others...

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I'm not holding my breath, but there might be some foam coming my way soon. However, if that doesn't work out, I might have to settle for (at least for the time being) a relatively small sheet of 65...

Re: Chris Roger's DIY Transmission Lines

I feel he did, though only indirectly, to clarify his own intentions. He states that the driver is suitable for TL, but that the cabinet needs to be too big for anything he would consider for a...

Re: Chris Roger's DIY Transmission Lines

I'm sorry if I sounded ungratefull, that was not my intention. I did however feel that I had to specify what I was after. :)

It's mentioned (my previous quotation) and commented by petercom on this page:

I've seen it built by a guy with lots of cats,...

Re: Chris Roger's DIY Transmission Lines

That was a nice build thread, but after skimming through I didn't see any reference to TL with A26RE4.

The one I'm thinking about is the "Classic TL
a modern rendition of the classic Radford/IMF...

Re: Radford Forum, and SEAS in T.L.

Not that it's going to happen anytime soon, but I'm contemplating on building a pair of these. Does anyone have any more info on this design?

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I've tried the first one, but they would only sell to businesses. I'll check out that last one, thanks!

From my mailing spree I've found out that I can get a 2 m * 1 m large sheet for 130. But...

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I'm sorry, I should probably have said "fooling around".

The fact that we need to find the right stuffing for our needs/preferences is one thing, but using another foam type would be more like...

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

Had it only been me, that would be a viable option. However, my friend is not the adventurous type, and fooling too much around outside proven grounds is not his thing.

Re: Where to buy 80 PPI reticulated foam?

I actually thought about that a while ago, but I felt it would be too deceptive. I might reconsider if something doesn't happen soon. The problem is that I need a minimum of six strips, preferably...
