I've been looking to buy a lightly used ART 9, missed out on one from Belgium @ 20 hours 650 - damn.

Happened to see a thread...

Re: Crossover components rolling ?

Chris,
why use the Teflons, why not try the K73-16 . I think you'll find that the Russian Teflons have acquired a reputation that they don't deserve.

Still available lots of 400/630V. I first...

Re: Disappointing Audiolab

Phil,
I thought that would be the case, it's a shame. With stuff like DACs you can understand the need to keep signal paths as short as possible. However with amps, even s/s stuff why not leave room...

Re: Disappointing Audiolab

Re: Dark Voice 336SE h/amp

A question for those who bypass.

I'm taking out the o/put caps 3 x 10uF/250V per side and replacing with 1 x Audyn ERA rough foil 100uF/100V per side and yes i know that if a valve fails I'm...

Re: Earthing questions

Thanks John,
as I said so many who have a D/V have hum problems and blame various makes of valves.

The hum I first had was'nt bad but it definitely interfered with the music. Once I...

Re: Earthing questions

Hi John,
thanks for that. I need to clarify your remark 'earthing volume controls immediately' - does that mean that the pot and jack socket being earthed directly to the chassis is correct?.

Re: huanshop2015

Phil,
after I've trialled the new caps might well be able to sell the spares onto another D/V owner but I still feel a fool for not checking first. Some poor sods have waited a year - and still...

Re: Simple Mains Filter and Spike Suppressor

This problem is caused by using the cheapskate ring main, illegal in Europe. All electrics are via spurs.

Here's a thought why not supply the juice for a sound system by using batteries. Deep...

So saw that the parts Express...
