Well, if the apocalypse happens, presumably the petrol stations will all quickly run dry what with being unable to buy/import fuel with the worthless .
A diesel generator should get you an extra 3 days until it runs out.

Hi All
Just to get this thread back on track I thought I would report in that I installed the delta cap with varistor as per the FAQ post. A little tricky to install on the back of the IEC socket as the pin order on the back of the socket is Earth, neutral and live, whereas the delta cap has earth leg in the middle. This took careful wire bending (leg protected with ptfe sleeve) to connect everything correctly and not have any shorts. I think the biggest advantage I should get from the device is some protection of amp and speaker tweeters from the inevitable lightening strikes from summer storms that we frequently get in my part of the world. Certainly worthwhile upgrade.
