You may have a problem here. WD's Tx's were made by Morite. They went bust towards the end of last year which added to WD's problems.

Grant Armstrong, formally Morite now works for Amethyst. Have a look at the link below and click on the heading about Grant joining them. There is an email link for Grant himself. I understand he has all the Morite designs with him so might be able to help.

New to this forum and just came across this thread.

I'd be interested in knowing whether you got anywhere with these transformers - were you able to obtain a set?

Wouldn't mind getting hold of a pair of these output Tx's.

Unfortunately I have not been able to source a set yet, but I am still trying....

I will have more news for you as soon as I can get a few details from Dave about the specs or if he has managed to source a replacement part. Failing this I am going to commission a couple of sets to be wound to a higher spec, so if anyone else is interested in a pair then please post here with what you need and we can do a group buy for them and we will all save money too boot....

Just let me know if you want to go ahead.....

Best....

Yes I'd be interested in a set, of course depending on what the unit price turns out to be. Have you been able to gather enough info to recreate the original specs (or get close)?

ATM I have a lot of info about the circuit and components, wiring diagrams etc, but no real handle on the transformers.

They have a tertiary feedback and four independent output windings. When joined in specific sequence, they have an impedance ranging from 16R to over 300R. They have a power rating of about 1Watt. Not sure how to figure out the rest cause I'm not a transformer designer.....

Plus, one of the members here has volunteered one as a template....
If Dave aint interested in it, I am....

That's good news - I'd imagine any good transformer designer will be able to recreate it if they can be provided with an actual example to examine. That, coupled with the circuit schematic and Tx wiring diagram should be all they need.

Will be interesting to see how this progresses.

Hi Boondi
If you make no Headway with you plan on the TX
Think I said this before but if you send the schematic and all the detail you have on the TX point out the Feedback winding to then thou they will come back with a quote http://www.sowter.co.uk/index.php
