Depends if you come for the session in the Pub the night before...

Hi Steve et al,

Awaiting a response from the rest of the Bristol posse. I'll let you know.

When planning Eggfest 3, KennyK (who works Saturdays) asked if there was a chance of a Sunday meet. Steve, you said you'd look at that for Eggfest 4.

Steve, for the benefit of newer members, I hope you won't mind me taking an intiative here.

Eggfest is held at Eggborough Power Station Social Club, Goole, East Yorks, DN14 0UZ. It is located close to Jn34 on the M62, about a mile north on the A19. For a map, go to http://www.world-designs.co.uk/forum...hlight=Eggfest and go to post 108 (courtesy of Lord).

Those of us who have to travel distance usually stay over the night before at the Pontefract North Premier Travel Inn which is about five minutes drive to the venue. It has a good Brewers Fayre bar and restaurant attached for beer, food and socialising the night before and then B&B. Find it from here http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/dropdownSearch.do

Eggfest events start at about 10 in the morning with people turning up from about 9 to set up kit. There is one large hall which is a challenge for systems to sound good in, but seems to work fairly well. 6 to 7 systems can be accommodated here and all are listened to during the day, often with kit being mixed and matched back and forth across the room. Anything goes, from a standard built kit to megga sized scratch built MDF supported amplification. There is also a smaller room that will accommodate another two systems.

You get the opportunity to sample many different types of music presentation and will probably hear during the course of the day some of the best reproduced recorded music you are ever likely to. It's a great opportunity to hear what others have done or are developing and helps get your own sound system targets into focus. It doesn't matter whether you are an old crusty who's been at the hobby for years or very new to it all. Everyone is welcome. It's a very satisfying boys day out with excellent company and a great opportunity to put faces to names here.

I hope that helps.

Best wishes,

Greg

Cut and paste that into the magazine and you've got good journalism.

My Mum warned me about this sort of stuff when I was a little boy (I never did listen then either).

Great, looks like I'm coming then, see you there.

I'll be along to see what else i can learn.
The information gleaned from previous events is slowly sinking in.
One day it'll all make sense, or maybe not.
