Threw myself at windsurfing before I had M.E.

Onbviously picked up this hobby along the way.

F1 for a while but interest waned since the changes to cars turned it into one horse racing Mclaren for a few years then Ferrari, but maybe now it is more even.

I started in shortwave radio, and was given a number or old issues of practical wireless dating from the 1947 to the 60's. This led to a procession of single triode based TRF receivers, sitting up late with the glorious glow of a single valve, listening to far away places set me up. It was therefore a delight to ditch my Naim amps in favour of those glorious glowing tubes, and improve the quality of my listening experience to boot!

If I have other free time I can be found on a bike cycling through the glorious lane sof Northumberland or in the mountains of the Lake District.

Cheers,

Ian

I used to spend my time in the garage doing my best restore an old Porsche 928, but then I moved to the UK and left that hobby behind and picked up this new one.

Funny, when in NY, I hardly listened to my hifi (all bought in the usual retail manner). Now, I listen to the hifi and hardly (what a lie) miss my 928.

I have rebuilt them both but the ghia is not finished yet, its getting turbo'd very soon. Ive always loved VW's but love all old cars really. Ive been fixing/modifying them for many years now.
Im also into Nitro R/C, i race r/c bikes a little and im also quite partial to tattooing, ive probably spent more on that than i have on Hi Fi!

Nice one Philip! An excuse to post a more leisurely one of me from MotorCycle, been out of it a while, would love to get back now the kids are older. Used to time trial push bikes, mountainbiking at the mo and classic car shows in the summer. Just sold my MGB roadster - all go hissssss... F1 of course on the telly after dinner on Sunday

Very boring I'm afraid - golf (a recent convert) and football (pretty good as a youth, trials with Wrexham in the 'glory days' when in old div2, now just watch Birmingham City). I've long hankered after a Triumph Stag (am a member of Stag owners' club) but never had the balls to pursue the dream (or a garage for that matter)

I love Rugby LEAGUE and have a season ticket at Wigan Warriors, also go to away games when able. A strange thing is Im not that bothered about football in general these days yet I am a life-long Blackburn Rovers fan and try to get too as many games as possible. Whilst I dont watch alot of other football Im still very passionate about Blackburn, strange really I think it transends the game somehow. Other than that, I go fly-fishing when its better weather and recently got back into RC Heli's.

Hi,
Mine is as you can tell from previous posts - Linux, also Truimph Cars, I own a Herald 13/60 convertable but not yet in a car club, no time. I run a computer club which is WinXP based for the village as well. Love Victorian houses and heavily into DIY. Also love amps....too many hobbies not enough money!

I'm a big fan of Moto GP, very exciting racing, more so than F1 which I think has become boring,

Hi - I agree about Moto GP (and world Superbikes).

Although i watch every F-1 GP i still find the bikes MUCH more exciting.

Looking forward to Valentino doing it again this year.
