Default Motor run capacitors

Hi-motor run capacitors that are rated at 440v,would this be AC,and if so would the DC rating be higher (650v ?)

are these capacitors suitable for a decent power supply ?

Everything in this post is my honest opinion based on what i thought I knew at that very moment in time.

Default Re: Motor run capacitors

Yes and yes (yes)

Motor run caps are very well suited to psu use as they have nice high dc capability and good current ripple capability.

Motor start are not suitable as their continuous ripple capability is poor.
