Hello all
long time no hear (mea culpa - been suffering without music with builders in the house for many months). I have a query as I try to use a Blu-ray player as digital source. It only has HDMI out and my IncaTech Claymore amp (new version) only has phono in. Is there a recommended cable or adapter to sort the connection problem? Thanks Adrian |

Hi Adrian,
I am afraid that you are going to have to obtain an HDMI to analogue converter as all the HDMI signals are digital in origin. I would think a look on Google, Amazon or eBay would help John |

Hi Adrian, as John says the hdmi output signals will all be digital (the blu-ray player won’t have a dac inside to output analogue).
The hdmi to rca cables that you see (usually yellow for video and red white for audio) are to connect hdmi digital to older rca digital inputs on various tv/audio. I've not used them but you can get inexpensive hdmi dacs off eBay with the spec you need such as, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384617733...EAAOSwcelhOBYS with usb power lead or this one has the wall wart, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393506653...IAAOSwRpNhB1~o |
